Best Places to See Fireworks in Dallas Area

lvm fireworksNorth Texans are not lacking for options when it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July and we’ve rounded up some of our favorites:

Kaboom Town at Addison Circle Park | July 3

Addison’s fireworks show is one of the best in North Texas, if not the country, and if seeing such a spectacular salute to the United States means seeing it crammed alongside tens of thousands of other red-blooded Americans, well, that’s what Uncle Sam would want. Bars and restaurants throughout Addison will host watch parties, while the main grounds host live music, food, and other fun. The air show’s an hour or two before the fireworks.

Red, White, and Boom on the Bridge at the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge | July 3

The bridge formerly known as the Continental Ave. Bridge provides an ideal view for a fireworks show lighting up the Dallas skyline. Live music, food, kids’ activities, and other games heighten the Independence Day festivities. The westbound side of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will also be shut down for the occasion.

Fort Worth’s Fourth at Panther Island Pavilion | July 4

Chill out in an inner tube on the Trinity while listening to a Jimmy Buffet tribute band and other live music, watch some jet ski and fly board shows, and enjoy the fireworks. Inner tubes are provided free on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can bring your own. A wide range of food will be available for purchase, and admission is free for all ages. A kids’ zone will feature pony rides, bounce houses, miniature golf, water slides, and more.

Fair Park Fourth at Fair Park | July 4

The Midway opens early, with live music and other family-friendly activities leading up to the main event — the fireworks — at night. The best view is from inside the Cotton Bowl, but keep your eyes on the sky anywhere in Fair Park for a spectacular show.

All-American Fourth at Oak Point Park in Plano | July 4

Fireworks begin at 9:30 pm. The view is best from elevated ground at Collin College and First United Methodist Church.

Star-Spangled Spectacular at Firewheel Town Center in Garland | July 4

Fireworks begin at 9:15 following a day of live music, food, face painting, bounce houses, and more.

Light Up Arlington at Levitt Pavilion | July 3

Celebrate Independence Day a day early with performances by Hannah Kirby and Brad Thompson, and of course, fireworks, at Arlington’s outdoor amphitheater and park.

Red, White, and Boom in McKinney | July 4

The day begins at 10 am with a parade in Downtown McKinney, continues with a car show from 1 to 5 pm, and ends with a concert, family activities, and fireworks at McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch from 7 to 9:30 pm.

Family 4th of July Celebration at Breckinridge Park in Richardson | July 4

The park will have balloon artists, concessions, and climbing walls for kids, and families are welcome to bring picnics of their own to the event, which concludes with a fireworks show at 9:45 pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza at Lake Grapevine | July 4

Find your spot lakeside or on the roof of the Gaylord Texan parking garage to enjoy a spectacular fireworks show.

Frisco Freedom Fest at Toyota Stadium | July 4

Kicking off with a Party in the Plaza and Taste of Frisco foodie festival at Simpson Plaza at City Hall, the night will continue with an FC Dallas soccer match at 8 pm at Toyota Stadium. After the game there will be a 20 minute fireworks extravaganza.

Lone Star and Stripes Celebration at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie | July 4

Along with the usual horse races, this celebration will include a zip line, obstacle courses, and pony rides. Live music will be provided by iVegas Stars, and fireworks are sure to wow the crowds after the last race. 106.1 KISS FM will be there to provide entertainment as well.
